September= sick school germs

Although Elle is loving school, school means germs. Last Friday at 4 am Elle began puking and continued until about 8 am, off and on. She was still running fever for a few days even though the barfing ceased. Saturday Lily began with it. The vomiting and the fever. This continued and got worse and worse. On Tuesday, I took her to the walk in clinic because she was so ill. Come to find out this poor baby now had something called hand, mouth and foot disease WTF. She refused to eat or drink and her fever couldn't be broken even with alternating acetamenophin and ibuprofen. I even took her back to have them check for dehydration because she refused everything, including boobie. I returned to work today and Elle will return to school tomorrow. WASH YOUR HANDS AND KEEP YOUR SICK KIDS AT HOME, PLEASE

Elle is 3 years and 10 months old

Celebration!

And a visit to the Rainforest Cafe sealed the deal!

First Day of 3 year old class!

My big girl gets ready to go
Lily tries to stay busy until Elle is done
I want my SISSY!!
First Day Success! I know. I get it. I have a ton on past blogging to catch up on. I really need to get on it. Elle had her first day of school last Wednesday. We got a new back pack, a new outfit and have been mentally preparing her for the start of school for over a month. We have been to Moody to see the new classroom and meet the teacher. She is not in the "baby" part anymore. Last year she was in the same hallway as the babies and toddlers, when she was in the two year old class. Yet, this year she is on the big girl hallway with all the 3s and 4s. They even get a bigger playground with bigger playscapes and tricycles etc. This year she also gets to expand her classess. This year she will participate in Ms. Christy's cooking class and an enrichment (science) class. The biggest selling point on Moody School, aside from the fact that I went there when i was 3 and 4, is the movement the kids have. Elle attends school 3 days a week from 9-12, which is plenty for her age in my opinion. In that three hours, they do circle time and also go to: music, library, gym, enrichment and i am not sure what else. There is a lot of movement. Elle has grown and matured so much since last year. Last year she was so scared of school and cried off and on for the entire three hours. David and I shared the tears. She was apprehensive and nervous about school for quite a while. Her amazing teachers were so patient with her. They allowed her to grow and mature in her own time while guiding her along. Seven months later she began kind of talking to her friends and teachers. Summer came and we had a wonderful time. I just assumed it would be a struggle. As summer came to a close, Elle expressed apprehension. The first day I got to take her to school since David was out of town and Milagro is still out. We got up and got ready. Elle is so grown up it is shocking to me. She DIDN'T SHED A SINGLE TEAR. She walked in and found her friend Falyn from last year. She sat by her in circle and told me goodbye. I couldn't believe it. I was so prepared to have to leave her crying. I had coached myself several times the night before. At pick up time, she had only asked about me once and it was 5 minutes before I got there. She talked to her teacher enough to ask the question and ask to use the restroom. To celebrate we went to the Rainforest Cafe just like we did last year! It is so amazing to me how fast time goes by. My baby is going to be four in November and I can hardly believe it. I am so proud to be her Mommy. My other baby is 17 months old and I can hardly stand it. Time goes so fast these days. i have to continue to pinch myself and realize that I need to slow down to take it all in and enjoy it. I can't even remember what life was like before my two angels.
