Today is the day

Well cross your fingers that things go relatively smoothly today. As soon as I am done pumping, Pootie and I will go pick up the u haul. My moving help will be here at 9:30 and things aren't really ready. When we went to the trout house last night there was still lots of stuff everywhere. Please let it have been cleaned up this morning before we arrive. WE are under some serious time stipulations!! Did I mention that we are going HOME!! pictures coming soon :)

Well mommy is trying to pack this stupid house for our move which is happening tomorrow. I am busy face planting, pulling up, crawling around and being cute. We are sad that we missed the last band concert last night due to my complete meltdown. Mommy is trying really hard to not have a complete meltdown herself! Pray for her. After all who can resist this face!

which reminds me....

Several months back Onion (pre pregnancy), Liz D and I went to happy hour. This was probably my first happy hour since before i got preggo. David thought it would be great for me to get out and go. I had David and Elle drop me off so that I wouldn't have to drive home. I am seriously out of practice and am a really cheap date these days. So when David does come get me, he walks into the bar with elle is his arms. He makes a bee line for our table and slams his hand down in the middle of the table. Speaking very loudly he proceeds to say that he and the baby have been looking everywhere for me. And that this whole drinking thing is getting out of hand. I need to choose either the bars or my family and choose it now. Well at this point everyone int he bar is staring at us. Liz and Onion are laughing and I am bright red. Everyone thinks he is serious...until he parks his butt on the bar stool next to us and has a cocktail with us. Pootie stuck to her milk. Daddy loves to embarrass mommy and is pretty witty about it sometimes.

Girls Night Out ...

Last night 7 Galveston girls hit up The Steakhouse. I had actually never eaten there before. Let me say WOW...the filet with blue cheese sauce was unbelievable. I am really not that big of a steak girl. I like filet but am quite picky about my meat. This might be the best steak I have ever eaten. Roserika planned the evening for us so she gets the props. Meredith rocked it with the gift card. Kelly, Lea, Onion and Lisa provided great company. I heard some great stories of when and how some of these lovely ladies found out they were preggos. It is nice to get dolled up and eat out. The drinks flowed freely. I had my baby daddy and Elle drop me off their way to their dinner date at the Sunflower. Daddy ate pecan crusted snapper while he fed the pootie girl green beans. Fun was had by all. The pregnant Onion was the designated driver and a great one at that! Daddy told the waiter at the restaurant that I left he and pootie to bar hop. Daddy loves to make mommy look like a boozer! Wish I had a pic of the lovely evening.

my mom said "baby daddy" like it was a word she has been using for years. AWESOME! Thank goodness for baby daddys!

Grandmommy came for a visit

Grandmommy came to help us pack/unpack for our move that was supposed to happen on July 31. Well since we didn't move there wasn't a whole lot to be unpacked. I had begun packing prior to her arrival. Of course the kitchen takes the longest so I begun there and pretty much had the whole thing packed. STUPID..because well are here for another 2 1/2 weeks. oh well. Well Grandmommy got here on Wednesday. We made her go to Lowe's with the whole family and then went to my mom's for a yummy dinner. Thursday we did house stuff for most of the day and then went to dinner at Yaga's. Friday we ran errands working on house stuff again after having breakfast at the sunflower with cat, johnny, eva, and frances. Friday night we did our weekly dinner at Sonny's. Saturday morning Grandmommy left to go home to Florida. Elle was said to see her go! Come back soon grandmommy. How about Wednesday?? Maybe I will show you my new monkey tricks. After all I did show you how I can crawl. Did I mention how happy the cats were to see her. Buddy and Tabitha evacuated with us to grandmommy's house in the woodlands. They stayed there for several months since we had no place for animals. They still love her for it.. but Charlie not so much.

Well we were supposed to move home on Friday, July 31, 2009. It was gonna be crazy because the trout house wouldn't be ready until that day and we had to be out of our rent house on that day. crazy right! Well I started doing the math and just couldn't figure it out. I also had several people in my peanut gallery reminding me that there was no F**ing way that this would happen. The wood floors hadn't been laid and the tile wasn't finished. There was still no plumbing. The granite was laid with no overhang and had to be replaced. So I spoke with my friend and contractor and we decided to extend for 1 more week. Well that would be today! As of today the tile is mostly finished and the floors have been laid, stained and polyurethaned 3 times. They need 72 hours to dry and 2 weeks to "completely cure". They were laying baseboards and painting them today. Appliances were all delivered today. Plumbing happens this weekend or Monday. So WE ARE MOVING HOME ON WEDNESDAY! I am holding them too it. Elle's room and the guest bathroom still have to be painted. I am really struggling with the guest bathroom color. Bead board still needs to be put up in the guest bathroom. appliances need to be installed, plumbing, tile finished and the yard cleaned out of all the trash it has accumulated from this process. I so wish that I would have taken pics along the way. I didn't. I have pre IKE pics, post ike pics and will soon have newly finished house pics. The house looks amazing. We are very excited. David's design for the master bath turned out amazing. I have a beautiful kitchen now. We can't wait to go home. Housewarming party some time in sept. mark your calendars.
